Pigeon hunting is another one of these no limit shooting venues—the Argentinean government does not enforce a limit on the number of pigeons that a hunter may harvest—but most outfitters do, since pigeons are fickle creatures, and some limits must be put in place to maintain consistent shooting throughout the year (without having to drive long distances to reach the hunting fields)

Cordoba Argentina Dove Hunting – Are Non-Hunting Guests Welcome?

Yes. In fact, we have many non-hunting guests every year. There are other activities for non-shooters to do on our Argentina dove hunting trips, such as cooking classes, Spanish lessons, or spa treatments. Sometimes, non-hunting guests will opt for shopping tours in Cordoba, or horseback riding on nearby dude ranches. In any event, all Argentina dove hunting lodges are family-friendly, and non-hunting guests are welcome—subject to availability.

What Brands of Shotgun Shells Are Available At The Argentina Dove Hunting Lodges?

Typically, RD are the most common brand of dove loads offered by the outfitters in Cordoba, but Fiocchi are also available for an additional fee. The decision as to which brand of cartridge is best for any one shooter is subject to personal opinion. Typically, the Fiocchis are more reliable, hence the higher price. You get what you pay for, and this is no exception. The Fiochhis are more reliable, but the RDs are by no means a poor cartridge.

What Happens To The Birds?

On all Argentina bird hunts, the birds that are harvested by the shooters are prepared at the estancia by our gourmet chefs. The doves are sautéed, grilled, fried, barbecued, and prepared in many other ways too. One can even enjoy a great dove pâté. Other birds that are left—and their numbers are significant—are given to local food banks that distribute them to orphanages, homeless shelters, and retirement homes.
